BRAND NARRATIVE

WEAPON is a design firm built to fight the “yes man” agency model — because we aren’t here to make friends, we are here to make history. Sometimes the truth hurts, but when it comes to our clients we believe that brutal honesty is better than killing you with kindness. We are tactical and tactile mercenaries, and we don’t work with just everyone. But the projects we do take on, we go in full-force. Once provoked, our creative hive mind can handle it all. With in-house services ranging from technical design to editorial photo shoots — our creative team is packed full of unusual suspects.

Huber IBSx

  • In an unprecedented year without in-person events, Huber was poised to announce the launch of new product categories at the International Builders Show and needed a branded tactic.

  • Although IBS had its own online conference planned, with little creative capabilities or UX insight, I believed the risk too great to rely on their platform alone.

  • I identified an emerging online platform to be able to brand and host the 3-day Huber IBSx 2021 including multiple stages, virtual booths, interactive chat and more accurate lead generation opportunities. And when the IBS web experience crashed, Huber was uniquely positioned to receive the added opportunity seamlessly.

Power & Light Press

  • Develop a brand narrative and tagline for a stationery company whose product offerings are rooted in humorous and irreverent cards printed by hand in preparation for the National Stationery Show.

  • Through a personal knowledge of letterpress printing, I knew just how serious you had to be about making funny work by hand.

  • A brand narrative that highlights a juxtaposition, plays off the human imperfection and sells the owner’s signature southwestern sass.

Power and Light Press is a ship-shape print shop built to handle all of life’s messy emotions. Ever since we flipped the switch on in 2009, our cards have been designed, printed, and packaged in-house, meaning each and every piece has come straight from our own blood, sweat and tears. Metaphorically. For the most part. Our company is fueled by a fleet of all-female letterpress printers with clean hands and filthy mouths: a bunch of real class acts who like making real-ass things. Because at Power and Light Press, we aren’t afraid to get a little dirty now and then.
